On September 9th and 12th, the German language version of For Cod’s Sake, entitled Dorschs Dilemma, will screen at the Green Screen International Wildlife Film Festival in Eckernförde, an idyllic town on the Baltic Sea coast. The festival runs for the fourth time and is to be a forum of international wildlife films and an important meeting place for filmmakers, TV producers and spectators. Dorschs Dilemma aired for the first time on ARTE in May 2010.
The international version of the film, For Cod’s Sake, will screen at the Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries in Riga, Latvia on September 11th. The Baltic Sea Forum, which runs from September 7-12, is a pitching session and workshop combined with film screenings. It is aiming at documentary films produced in the Baltic and surrounding countries or productions with a subject related to the region. For Cod’s Sake, which was originally pitched at the same forum in 2008, has to date been broadcast in over ten countries around the world.
